Set Yourself Up for the Day

While many of these tasks are important, it’s incredibly easy to lose sight of the ones that will actually make a difference at the end of the day.

Instead of jumping from one task to the next, start your day by writing out the 2 to 3 items that would leave you feeling accomplished at the end of the day.

Another way to set yourself up for a successful day is to do what you need to the day before.

  • “What time zone are you in during your trip again?”

Consider a No-Meeting Monday

Once you’ve mastered scheduling meetings within your team, consider making a day of each week “meeting-free.”

Of course, you can always make an exception where needed, but by implementing a “no-meeting Monday,” for example, you empower your employees to get the tasks that require a heavy amount of focus out of their way without feeling bad about missing a meeting or letting an unnecessary email slide.

Although meetings can be productive in themselves, no-meeting Mondays can quickly become one of the favorite days of the week for you and your team.

Encourage a Life Outside of Work – and Learning at Work
