Zenovoir Technologies was hired by TransSIGHT, a North American consulting firm, to develop a data ingestion engine. The goal of the project was to create a system capable of ingesting data every 15 seconds from multiple sources and distributing it internally and externally through APIs. Zenovoir Technologies was selected for their commitment to delivery, breadth of technology skills, and personal investment in the project. The team, comprised of a project manager, system architect, developers, and a QA/QC resource, built the engine on a Microsoft technology stack for ease of operation and maintenance. They handled system design, data transfer specification development, and implementation of the data ingestion module, database, and APIs. They also performed end-to-end unit testing and deployed the module on the test, staging, and production environment. The data was exposed through APIs, configured through an API gateway, and an alerting system was implemented for unavailable source data.
