Zenovoir Technologies was hired by TransSIGHT, a North American consulting firm, to develop a data ingestion engine. The goal of the project was to create a scalable system that could ingest data every 15 seconds from multiple sources and merge it for internal and external distribution through APIs. Zenovoir Technologies was chosen due to their commitment to delivery and their extensive technology stack skills. The team, consisting of a project manager, a system architect, developers, and a QA/QC resource, built the engine on a Microsoft technology stack for ease of operations and maintenance. They also assisted with system design, developed data transfer specifications, implemented the data ingestion module, database, and APIs, and performed end-to-end unit testing. Furthermore, they deployed the module on the test, staging, and production environment, configured it through an API gateway, and implemented an alerting system for when the source data isn't available.
