Zeliant Infoserve Pvt. Ltd. was contracted by a leading manufacturer of installation technology to automate their sales reporting process across regions in India. The goal was to replace non-standardized, error-prone excel reports with a centrally hosted .NET solution that would allow for monthly uploads of sales forecasts and actual figures. This was intended to provide a comprehensive view of the sales processes in each region and inform strategic decisions. The second phase of the project would involve integration with SAP to pull SKU details.
Zeliant was chosen as a reliable long-term partner among four other potential vendors, due to their proven track record in delivering bespoke software solutions. The selection process involved the client's marketing head, National Sales Head, and product managers. Zeliant's team, comprised of approximately five members, including developers, testers, and requirement analysts, worked closely with a similar team from the client's side.
The project started with a discovery workshop to understand the business challenges and goals. Upon approval of the workflows, wireframes, and mockups, Zeliant proceeded to define the SoW and developed functional versions ready for user testing and feedback every three weeks. Improvements were made during each sprint, aided by key suggestions from Zeliant's developers and requirement analysts. The result was a successful design, development, configuration, and launch of a new backend business management solution.
