Webbed Feet

Webbed Feet, a professional IT company, was contracted by Boatmatch, a Yacht Brokerage company. The principal aim was to develop a custom PHP, filterable, and searchable listing platform. This platform was designed to manage a vast, ever-changing inventory of boats and yachts, organized by builder, type, and location, distinctively different from the generic offerings of classified software. Building custom PHP integrations to automatically import boat listings from external sources was also part of the project to ensure accuracy in data.

Webbed Feet was recommended to Boatmatch for its corporate values and professional approach. A highly skilled team of 2-5 employees was assigned to decipher the complex requirements and successfully execute the project. The scope of work entailed developing a system purely custom coded in PHP, instead of using a CMS or template solution. This decision was instigated by the absence of any pre-existing brokerage software, which could simultaneously handle multi-source feeds and broker-level control.

This project's results were deemed a success, with the Webbed Feet team delivering on all notable deliverables. The final output was a custom-coded PHP solution that bypassed the constraints of a typical CMS solution. This newly launched, filterable platform now efficiently handles a large, continuously changing inventory of boats, without sacrificing ease of use or accuracy in data.
