Highlights from Recent Projects
Waypoint Consulting worked with a healthcare organization to consolidate their data warehouses. The project involved an intensive investigation of the data and its sources, as well as the transformations it underwent from source systems to the data warehouse. The team also assisted with migrating analytics to the enterprise data platform. The collaboration began in October 2018 and concluded in January 2020. The client had previously worked with Waypoint Consulting and was satisfied with their performance, which made it easy to engage them for additional projects.
In another project, Waypoint Consulting was hired by an investment controllership organization that sells life and mortgage insurance to develop a database and automated IT tool. The tool, coded in Sequel, enabled the client to execute processes, generate results, and provide a solution that met set standards. The project also involved bringing in a large amount of historical credit loss data and developing processes to generate specific components of the expected credit loss calculation. The project, which began in June 2018, cost approximately $1.8 million, with an additional $250,000 spent on gap analysis.
Waypoint Consulting also partnered with a securities litigation law firm in Pennsylvania to enhance their custom apps and expand their scope. The team refreshed the products and added increased functionality by enhancing the .NET Framework used to build the initial apps and tweaking the SQL database. They also implemented QlikSense, an application for searching and filtering. The initial project cost about $40,000, with ongoing support expected to amount to about $200,000 each year. The engagement, which began in June 2019, is ongoing. The client chose Waypoint Consulting for their local presence and necessary capabilities.
