vResolv LLC was contracted by Guardian Angel Technologies to develop a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application for a mobile highway condition assessment system. The system uses LiDAR, imagery, and GPS sensors to assess road conditions in real-time. vResolv was selected for their high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, and niche experience in embedded hardware. The team developed a user-friendly data collection desktop application that interfaces with mobile mapping hardware and sensor arrays. It acquires, processes, and saves data sets for future use by machine learning/inference platforms and geospatial processing workflows. The software also allows drivers to easily control and visualize sensor information, trigger sensor recording/data collection, and export completed recording batches. Key deliverables included the integration of the GNSS/IMU data collection process, industrial camera data collection process, and the LiDAR data collection process. The project was successfully completed with positive feedback from the client, praising vResolv's expertise and value for cost.
