Viapontica AI

Viapontica AI was hired by Creative Informatics, an R&D programme based in Edinburgh, to develop a technological solution for an image cropping problem for The List, an events listing magazine and data company. Viapontica's solution, 'Cream of the Crop', is an AI service that identifies the focal point of images for smart cropping and outputs images in various sizes and ratios. The team at Viapontica, led by the Director and a Machine Learning Engineer, was selected for their understanding of the technical complexity of the task and their substantial expertise in AI and image processing techniques.

In a collaboration with an international built environment consultant, Viapontica AI developed automation processes for tunnel examinations. The project aimed to automate the detection of defects in rail tunnels. Viapontica was responsible for data processing, machine learning, and presenting results. They were selected for their relevant experience in using machine learning techniques to detect similar defects. Viapontica developed processes to clean and prepare data for machine learning and created a prototype app for presenting the results.

A quantitative foresight company based in France hired Viapontica AI for a POC tool project. The project aimed at tracking, analyzing, and assessing an emerging asset class in the virtual economy. Viapontica AI provided data engineering services, including data ingestion and pre-processing, data transformation, data enrichment, data analytics, and creating flexible data outputs to a dashboard. Viapontica AI was selected for their deep understanding of the problem, flexibility, and insightful ideas. They set up a cloud environment and tools, built a full data processing pipeline, defined machine learning requirements, created machine learning datasets, and developed metrics to be extracted from the data. They also provided a technical assessment and early exploration of a new transaction data API.
