In a collaborative R&D project, Viapontica AI successfully developed a machine learning model for an international built environment consultant. The goal of the project was to automate the detection of defects in rail tunnels. Viapontica AI was responsible for data processing, machine learning, and presenting the results. They worked with raw data, cleaned, and prepared it for machine learning, and developed a tool to identify specific types of defects. The results were presented through a prototype app. Their expertise in similar applications using machine learning techniques was highly appreciated.

Viapontica AI was hired by Creative Informatics, an ambitious research and development programme based in Edinburgh, to respond to a Challenge project proposed by The List, an events listings magazine and data company. The challenge was to create a technological solution to automatically provide images in various formats without compromising the impact of the original image. Viapontica AI delivered 'Cream of the Crop', a service based on a highly effective AI pipeline that identifies the focal point of images to enable smart cropping. Their understanding of the technical complexity of the project and their experience in AI techniques for image processing were highly valued.

A French-based quantitative foresight company hired Viapontica AI for data engineering services for a POC tool, tracking, analysing and assessing an emerging asset class in the virtual economy. Viapontica AI set up their cloud environment and tools, built a full data processing pipeline, defined the machine learning requirements, created the machine learning datasets, and worked on developing metrics to be extracted from the data. They also created preliminary metric visualisations in the Tableau dashboards. The company appreciated Viapontica AI's deep understanding of the complex problem, their flexibility, and their insightful ideas to augment the approach.
