Highlights from Recent Projects
Vessel Partners successfully completed a mobile application development project for a national healthcare company. The company sought the expertise of Vessel Partners to rapidly develop an application with healthcare domain experts. Vessel Partners, with its decade-long experience in healthcare, was chosen for the project. The team, which included three to five members, delivered a system integrated with a variety of technology and APIs. The scope of work was clearly outlined and the deliverables were improved over time. The healthcare company appreciated the direct involvement of the founders of Vessel Partners in the project.
In another project, Vessel Partners collaborated with a large research university to develop and design a mobile application. The app was designed for a national Step-up-App challenge announced by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The goal was to create an app for seamless collection of patient reported outcomes and integrate this information into electronic health records. Vessel Partners was selected for their deep commitment to making a positive impact on healthcare. The university worked mainly with Zach, the CEO, and Doug, the CTO, along with some developers. The app was successfully piloted in nine clinics and integrated into multiple EHR platforms. The app was made available open source.
Vessel Partners also developed a patient-facing mobile app for a medical research institute. The institute had received a grant to understand the integration of patient-reported outcomes in primary care facilities and they sought the help of Vessel Partners for this project. The goal was to develop a SMART-on-FHIR (Fast Health Interoperability Resources) mobile app integrated with their electronic health record system. Vessel Partners built the entire user interface and the actual mobile app for Android, iOS, and Linux. The team also created a patient registration website. The engagement lasted from January 2021 to June 2022 and the institute worked with 3-4 people from Vessel Partners, including the founders.
