Versatile Accounting

Versatile Accounting was contracted by a Calgary-based marketing agency to provide a range of accounting services. The founder and CEO of the marketing agency sought assistance with bookkeeping, corporate and business accounting, GST filings, year-end corporate filings, tax planning, and personal income tax. The agency's primary goals were to ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and efficient tax planning to maximize tax returns. The decision to hire Versatile Accounting was based on a referral from a friend. The marketing agency's previous accountant had failed to maintain proper bookkeeping and consistently missed tax filing deadlines, resulting in penalties from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). However, after engaging with Versatile Accounting, the agency was able to get a reimbursement for the penalties paid. Since then, Versatile Accounting has been managing both the corporate accounting and personal income tax for the entire family of the marketing agency's CEO. The firm's billing structure consists of periodical payments based on invoices and an annual payment for corporate and personal tax filings. The team from Versatile Accounting working on this project comprised a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a bookkeeper.
