Highlights from Recent Projects
Velocity Labs was hired by a web-based dental staffing firm to overhaul their outdated platform. The goal was to create an automated platform to match dental candidates with dental offices and scale the business from a local to a national level. Velocity Labs developed the platform using Ruby on Rails, and despite the project becoming more complex than originally planned, the final product exceeded expectations. The company's managing partner and founders worked closely with the client throughout the project.
For Valley Metro, the public transportation agency for Phoenix, Velocity Labs developed a comprehensive system to provide transit information to the riders. The project included the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of a timetable publishing system, online trip planner, rider alerts system, and a mobile-optimized website. They also set up a real-time feed for the light rail system and handled several API integrations. The team consisted of about six people, including a project manager who was the direct and permanent point of contact.
Goalistics LLC, a team of psychologists creating online programs for behavioral and mental health, hired Velocity Labs to maintain their custom application and develop additional programs. Velocity Labs carried out all the development work for the additional programs and provided ongoing maintenance for the existing software and custom application. Over the years, they implemented various customizations. The work was led by one of the co-founders, with the CEO providing assistance at times.
