Velo Technologies Sdn Bhd was hired by Qinetics MSP, a managed service provider in Malaysia, to provide and implement an enterprise-grade backup software and set up a reliable Disaster Recovery Host Site. Velo Technologies was chosen based on their high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, and good value for cost. The team, consisting of 2-5 employees, was responsible for the full setup of the disaster recovery solution. This included deploying the backup solution across the production servers, configuring backup schedules, retention policies, and enabling monitoring alerts. They also provisioned an offsite Disaster Recovery (DR) host environment and ensured secure connectivity between the main site and the DR site. Multiple tests were conducted to confirm system recovery could meet the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) requirements. The team also conducted a full DR simulation test and documented the results. They provided clear documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training for the internal IT team to manage the system. Post-implementation, they continued to support Qinetics MSP and participated in scheduled DR drills to ensure readiness. This project resulted in the establishment of a reliable and testable disaster recovery setup, thereby strengthening the business continuity of Qinetics MSP.
