Velebit AI

Velebit AI was hired by Njuškalo, a top Croatian classified ad site, to develop and maintain large-scale, high-availability AI systems. The company, which had a small internal data science team, needed an experienced AI partner for the task. Velebit AI developed their entire data engineering infrastructure and deployed the required AI models for their classified ads business, including a Recommender Classified Ads system, an Automatic Ads Categorization system, and a real-time camera-based object detection system. The partnership, which began in May 2021, is ongoing and the client has invested roughly €100,000 in the project.

A small health startup engaged Velebit AI to evaluate the feasibility of computer vision applied to various problems relevant to the startup. The project required extensive knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, and data management. The founder and CEO of the startup primarily worked with one resource from Velebit AI, Mladen F. Quable B.V., the company behind Serbia's largest classifieds portal, KupujemProdajem.com, hired Velebit AI to classify marketplace listings based on the listing title. The project also involved identifying the best language encoder model for the Serbian language and training a classification model using the chosen encoder. Velebit AI was chosen for its high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, and good value for cost. The scope of work included the preparation of a training dataset and the evaluation of several pretrained models. The final deliverables were the Python source code for model training and API implementation.
