Highlights from Recent Projects
Urban Emu was hired by a small LLC to develop a mobile application aimed at helping individuals overcome public speaking anxiety. The original idea was to create a website, but after consultation with Urban Emu, the decision was made to develop a mobile app instead. The app, which was built from scratch after initial prototypes from another team did not meet expectations, includes features such as communication areas, swiping technology, a live presentation area, and a video library. The client reported a positive experience with Urban Emu, noting that they were organized and understanding. The project started in 2016 or 2017 and cost around $15,000.
The USDA/CNPP hired Urban Emu for web and mobile app design and development. Urban Emu created two new websites, one of which includes a feature for people to register for public meetings. They also developed a mobile app that is compatible with the Apple Watch. Currently, Urban Emu is developing an Alexa Skill and overhauling the client’s consumer website. The client chose to work with Urban Emu because of their technical response and understanding of the work dynamics and politics involved. The engagement, which started in January 2018, has cost between $250,000 and $500,000.
Urban Emu was hired by an industrial specialty chemical company for branding. The company wanted to improve its image and expand its outreach. Urban Emu developed logos, conducted competitor analysis, and redesigned the company’s website. They also helped to categorize the company’s 1,400 products in a user-friendly way. The project, which started in October 2019, was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has since resumed. The client has spent between $10,000 and $15,000 on the engagement.
