Unitrai Private Limited

Unitrai Private Limited was contracted by IntangibleSpring, a company that builds benchmarking databases for royalty rates and related intangibles. The goal was to construct and sustain the full platform behind their transfer pricing database and information services. The task also involved engineering a quick, accurate multi-criteria search across a large, complex dataset and to ensure the platform remained reliable and well-maintained. Unitrai was chosen due to alignment in company values and a single team member was assigned to the project.

The scope of work was extensive and end-to-end. Unitrai was responsible for architecting the system, building the application, and maintaining it for over a decade. The core deliverable was a data-heavy search application across various platforms and employing various technologies such as PHP, Python, and Java. This included the development of RESTful APIs, a high-performance Apache Solr search layer, and an AJAX-driven front end. The system was set up on a scalable and reliable AWS Linux environment which Unitrai continues to manage.

Unitrai not only successfully delivered the project but also exceeded expectations by providing ongoing maintenance, security, and platform support. They have treated the platform with a sense of ownership, instead of simply responding to incident tickets. The key deliverables were the client-facing search application with a multi-database backend, RESTful API development for back and front end, an Apache Solr search layer, automated Python data ingestion pipelines, and long-term hosting and maintenance on a fault-tolerant AWS infrastructure.
