Unai Ltd

Unai Ltd was hired by SNOMED International, a not-for-profit organization that owns and maintains the world’s most comprehensive clinical terminology, to utilize AI techniques to validate the quality of SNOMED CT. The goal was to improve the efficiency of identifying areas where content could be improved. After six months of discussions, Unai was chosen for their expertise in new technologies and their understanding of the issues faced by SNOMED International. The project involved the creation of a machine-assisted Term Validation Service, aimed at spotting potentially erroneous Preferred Terms and returning them for manual review. Unai's small, dedicated team of developers, designers, and managers worked on the project for three months, regularly demonstrating their progress to the client. The project concluded with a fully functional prototype ready to be tested and previewed by SNOMED International terminologists.
