Ueno

Ueno was contracted by a publishing company to provide support and serve as an extension of the team from a design perspective. The company had scaled down their team and needed to bolster the remaining numbers with some external contract support to help get a number of features delivered in a timely manner. Ueno worked on developing the visual system that tied everything together. They contributed to the visual design, interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping. The project has been completed, but the publishing company continues to bring Ueno in when they have similar needs and availability.

Ueno partnered with Reuters TV to design a completely new TV service. As the leading creative designer, Ueno was in charge of promoting the project and leading all the UX and UI work on the project, as well as associated support for marketing and sales development. Reuters TV, a personalized on-demand mobile news app, was successfully launched on iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, web, and Android with Ueno's help. Their work with Reuters TV is ongoing.

Dropbox collaborated with Ueno for a complete redesign of their forums and to add a couple of new features. Ueno helped Dropbox understand what would be possible to do and what would be required for each new feature. They identified aspects that would require certain workarounds and defined what the ideal user interface and user journey should be. Once that was set, they helped create the design of the forum page. The project, which cost between $40,000 and $70,000 including project management and design, has been completed.
