Tractor was hired by the San Francisco SPCA, an animal welfare nonprofit, to redesign their outdated website. The main challenges were to improve site navigation, content, and the donations section. Tractor built the website from scratch, providing strategy, wireframes, and layout reorganization. They created designs and features that were Drupal-friendly for another vendor to implement. They also conducted internal and external research, interviewing different departments and gathering and sharing information about best practices for online donations from similar organizations. One key feature that was included was an interactive piece that allows site visitors to adopt animals, which has become the most used function on the site. The team from Tractor consisted of five people including a project manager. The project was completed in the period from April to August 2016.
