Theodo was hired by a financial services firm in Wales to build an online car finance quote engine. The team, which consisted of a Scrum master, an architect, and two developers, used AWS, JavaScript, and Python to develop the platform from scratch. They also integrated the engine with a car web service, standard financing, and an HPI Check to ensure the vehicle isn't stolen or damaged. The project, which ran from January 2017 to April 2019, cost the firm approximately $611,000 USD.
Theodo was also engaged by Tempcover, an insurance company, to develop a new mobile app for iOS and Android. The team, led by a project director and an agile coach, used React Native to build an intuitive and user-friendly app, aimed at moving repeat customers away from the web. The project, which ran from December 2019 to March 2020, resulted in a beta release of the app.
A leasing company hired Theodo to develop a sophisticated software solution to increase automation efficiency. The solution, which uses 20 different modules to control back-office and operational functions, was built using React Redux and Grails framework. The project, which began in January 2018 and is still ongoing, has cost the company between $500,000 and $1 million.
