theBlue.ai was contracted by a healthcare solutions firm that develops VSI HoloMedicine®, a platform that uses mixed reality and virtual reality to transform traditional medical imaging and clinical content into interactive 3D experiences. The firm's CEO sought theBlue.ai's expertise to develop custom AI models for segmenting anatomical structures from MRI and CT images, automate 3D content generation for medical education in a mixed reality environment, and deliver scalable, cloud-ready AI pipelines with integration support for their platform. TheBlue.ai successfully created and trained deep learning models to automatically segment anatomical structures from volumetric imaging data. These models, based on advanced computer vision techniques, were delivered as cloud-deployable components ready for integration into the client's platform. The deliverables included custom-trained segmentation models for detailed anatomical structures, full ML pipelines for experiments, training, validation (MLOps), clean and documented API outputs optimized for 3D rendering in MR, collaborative iteration loops with medical experts, and a scalable architecture built on Microsoft Azure. The client found theBlue.ai through a referral and chose them due to their proximity, cultural fit, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company's values.
