Highlights from Recent Projects
Teal Media undertook a complete redevelopment of the websites for ANCOR, a nonprofit trade association, and its charitable arm. The outdated and poorly structured websites were rebuilt with improved user-friendly interfaces, a new resource library for indexing and categorizing publications, and an integration of the association's management system. This allowed for a single sign-on system for all users. The websites, completely customized in WordPress, also featured custom integrations with NetForum and Higher Logic. Teal Media now provides ongoing maintenance and hosting services. The original project cost approximately $140,000, with an additional $10,000 per year for maintenance.
Teal Media was chosen by a nonprofit public foundation to build a microsite showcasing data from a research project. The site, created using the Archie platform, was designed to present data highlights and grantee stories in an easily understandable manner. The project was completed on time and within budget, with Teal Media demonstrating professionalism and creativity throughout. Regular progress meetings and check-in emails were held, with ample opportunity for feedback and changes. Three members of the Teal Media team, including a developer, designer, and project manager, were involved in this project.
The University of Chicago Crime Lab and Education Lab hired Teal Media for a project involving branding, web design, and development. The objective was to design and develop the labs' websites and to create design templates and collateral. Teal Media was chosen for their high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, and alignment with the Lab's company values. The scope of work included discovery and planning, user experience and information architecture, content preparation and strategic support, and post-launch support. The newly developed websites featured WordPress CMS administration, third-party service integrations, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, and were optimized with SEO best practices. The project involved between six to ten Teal Media employees.
