Tardigrada Design Studio

Tardigrada Design Studio was hired by Kelly Deck Design to create a brand for an offshoot company, SPADE & PLATE. The scope of their work included creating a typeface, logo, business cards, hang tags, shipping label, illustration assets, colors, design/brand use guidelines, and social media assets and guidelines. The project was handled by Shan and Maria, the owners and operators of Tardigrada. The client selected Tardigrada based on their artful and passionate approach, as noted by friends and colleagues.

Mawi Design, an architecture, interior, and landscape design consultancy firm, engaged Tardigrada Design Studio for branding services. The goal was to create a logo, visual language for the brand, branding collateral, and a website. Maria and Shanmugam, the co-founders of Tardigrada, worked on the project. The client chose Tardigrada because their work on social media resonated with their expectations.

Tardigrada Design Studio was contracted by an advocacy group for graphic and web design services. Initially hired for character creation and poster design, the scope of the project expanded to include designing a board game, creating artwork, working on models for the pieces, dice, FTL 3D files, animation for short videos, UX/UI design for the website, and other graphic design elements. Maria and Shan, co-founders and designers at Tardigrada, were the main contributors on this project. The client had previously worked with Maria and continued the collaboration when she started Tardigrada. The project is ongoing with an investment of approximately $7,500–$18,800 USD.
