SymSoft Solutions was hired by a non-profit auxiliary of a Community College Chancellor's Office to enhance their team's user experience and user-centered design capabilities. SymSoft's primary task was to evaluate and enhance a college accountability data dashboard through user interviews. After understanding the history and purpose of the dashboard, they proposed user research plans and conducted user interviews. Initial insights were presented, and based on the feedback, SymSoft designed low and high fidelity prototypes of a new user flow and user experience. These designs were tested again, and after incorporating additional feedback, the final artifact was delivered along with tools for developers for implementation. The project lead, lead designer, user experience researcher, and even the CEO of SymSoft were directly involved in this project.
