Summit Tech

Summit Tech was contracted by Be Still Hotel, Turkey's premier smart hotel, to further personalize the guest experience at this high-tech establishment. The project aimed to centralize the internet of things (IoT) device management, streamline energy consumption, enhance operational control, and improve system scalability. The goal was to make the Alexa-enabled smart rooms configurable to guests' unique preferences while minimizing manual overhead for the staff. Summit Tech secured the project due to their proximity, reasonable pricing, positive culture fit, quality, and value.

The scope of the project entailed comprehensive IoT work, deploying Summit Tech's SummitOS across the property. Implementing both the physical IoT layer and its management software, the project consisted of deploying and synchronizing smart devices in each guest room, integrating them all within a cohesive IoT inventory, and correctly mapping each device. Summit Tech also spent time customizing the guest-facing app experience, configuring the staff-facing app for device monitoring and issue resolution, and creating well-defined, role-based access permissions.

The successful implementation by Summit Tech resulted in positive feedback. Summit Tech’s work not only enabled guests to manipulate room settings to their preferences but also allowed the Be Still Hotel team to monitor and manage devices seamlessly. The improved control of room configurations and increased operational intelligence have set a new benchmark for a technology-driven hotel experience in Turkey. The efficient management of energy usage not only reduced operational footprint but also sent a strong message about sustainability, which is great for the hotel's branding.
