Highlights from Recent Projects
Stermedia.ai was hired by Trials.ai, an AI company focused on optimizing clinical trial design processes, to develop an application aimed at revolutionizing the manual way research teams design clinical trials. The project involved developing machine learning solutions, including natural language processing using BERT and other transformer technologies, and developing machine learning models to predict trial outcomes. The project was executed using Python, with key deliverables being trained models for various NLP tasks and models to predict trial impact. The Stermedia team, consisting of two data scientists, also supported in the software development of the web application.
For WMC IT Solutions Ltd., a Swiss company providing digital insurance brokerage software, Stermedia was tasked with building a new version of BrokerStar. The project evolved into a partnership, with Stermedia becoming a fully integrated part of the development team. The project's scope was to improve the application's code and usability and ensure the application was always up-to-date, a strategic shift from the previous bi-yearly updates. The technologies used were LAMP (Symfony), JavaScript, and TIBCO Jasper Reports as the BI component. The Stermedia team consisted of a project leader and 4-5 developers initially, which has now scaled down to a senior developer and a tester.
Stermedia.ai also worked with a tech startup aiming to protect online publishers' content from plagiarism. The company was seeking a partner with high AI expertise to help develop and validate their ideas. The project involved developing advanced AI features, a complex ML engine, automation, multi-language capability, and a dedicated mobile application with notifications, among other features. The Stermedia team, led by a project manager and including a lead developer, worked on designing and building the software. The project aimed to solve problems such as content theft, duplicate content, and copyright infringement.
