Stepmates Studios

Stepmates Studios was hired by an entertainment company to develop and deliver multiple creative projects. These included an animated adult comedy TV series, a children's book adaptation to animation, and a film clip for a children's dance track. Their goal was to transform stand-up comedy into a visual story. Stepmates Studios selected the best stories from the 30-minute show and expanded them into clips and shows. They also created a cartoon version of the comedian. For the children's book, they brought the initial artwork to life. The team, comprising Mark, Sebastian, and Pete, worked seamlessly through the concept and scope, backing it up with smooth and vibrant animation. They provided regular updates and allowed for personal input. The results matched the client's vision and were highly satisfactory.

Stepmates Studios was hired by Dorpee, a computer software company, to produce a series of explainer videos. The goal was to use animation to simply and clearly describe Dorpee to various audience groups. After a series of discovery meetings, Stepmates created scripts which were collaboratively reviewed with the client. They then produced many iterations of the animations and storyboards, recording voiceovers and producing the final products in multiple formats. The team, Mark and Seb, were open to feedback and highly flexible. They were able to steer the project in the right direction, resulting in high-quality outputs that effectively communicated Dorpee's vision.
