Start Design was hired by Etisalat, a major telecommunications company in the UAE, to redesign their retail spaces and enhance customer experience. The project involved creating a fresh store design to modernize customer interactions and streamline services. Start Design was chosen for their reputation as a premier design house and their understanding of Etisalat's company culture and customer base. The result of the project was a significant increase in high-value sales, product sales, and service levels, marking a positive impact on the Etisalat brand.
Start Design was also contracted by Oxfam GB, an international humanitarian and development charity, for the strategic design of a large concept Charity Superstore. The goal was to create a retail space that promoted income and profit, public engagement, and a circular economy model of re-sell, re-use, and recycle. The vendor was selected based on their previous successful engagements with Oxfam and their experience with large format concepts for global brands. Despite planning delays outside of Start Design's control, the project was successfully completed, and the store opened in September 2019.
