Speed & Function

Speed & Function was hired by the VP of Engineering at Wikimedia to develop a new service to support a new B2B product. The project involved the creation of a service that exports the content of an entire site for processing by ML activities, including page histories, authorship, and other metadata. The service was designed for high-volume use by FAANG customers. The Speed & Function team, consisting of 2-5 employees, was chosen based on a referral, their value for cost, and alignment with company values.

Impilo, a healthcare support firm, sought the assistance of Speed & Function for engineering support on their projects. The CEO of Impilo found Speed & Function through a referral and chose them based on their high ratings, proximity, and budget-friendly pricing. One employee from Speed & Function was assigned to this project, and their scope of work included embedding within the Impilo team, building both front-end and back-end features, and performing full-stack development work.

Speed & Function was contracted by Open Supply Hub, a company that identifies, deduplicates, and maps retail supply chain facilities, for cloud consulting and web development. The Manager of Open Supply Hub tasked Speed & Function with migrating and hardening their system from legacy architecture, as well as providing additional engineering resources and expertise. Speed & Function, chosen due to a referral, budget-friendly pricing, great culture fit, and alignment with company values, assigned 2-5 employees to this project. The key deliverables included AWS migration, API development, a deduplication algorithm, and a microservices architecture.
