Sparkbox collaborated with a utilities company based in Knoxville, Tennessee, to create a customer self-service website. The goal was to transition the site from IBM Web Portal to a more modern content management system while maintaining its real-time functionality. Sparkbox assisted in building a responsive website that could function on various screen sizes. The site was constructed using ExpressionEngine for content and EmberJS for functionalities, with the addition of Apache Web Server, MySQL, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. The project, which exceeded an investment of $100,000, was completed in 18 months, and the website is currently live.
In another project, Sparkbox partnered with Organized Living, a closet and storage system manufacturer, to redesign their website. The primary challenge was to make the site mobile-friendly while refining its purpose and message for target audiences. Sparkbox worked on the site's overall design, identified target audiences, and built a pattern library for future website updates.
