Spandrel Interactive

Spandrel Interactive was contracted by the New Brunswick Continuing Care Safety Association to create an interactive VR module for handwashing. The module was designed to show users where they might have missed washing their hands, represented by virtual "dirt" that would remain and follow the hands throughout the process. The module was also designed to be navigable without the use of hand controllers. The client praised Spandrel Interactive for their close geographic location, reasonable pricing, and alignment with the company's values. The client stated that the project exceeded their expectations.

Spandrel Interactive collaborated with the New Brunswick Community College – Information and Communications Technology group on an applied research and experimental development project. The project involved the development of a novel dance choreography system utilizing the Microsoft HoloLens 2 platform, marker-less motion capture using Microsoft Kinect, and backend data management using Google Firebase. The client praised Spandrel Interactive for their innovation and productivity. The project was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation, with the Atlantic Ballet serving as both client and collaborator.

The BEAM research laboratory at Université de Moncton hired Spandrel Interactive to create virtual reality environments for fall risk prevention. The project involved recreating the laboratory space in a virtual format and constructing a virtual house complete with modifiable fall risk factors.
