Softhis was hired by the American College of Prosthodontics to transition their Board Study Guide from a CD to an app format. The company developed the app for both iOS and Android platforms, accommodating the subtle differences between the two. The development cost was around $12,000, and the apps were completed and made live in October 2014. The American College of Prosthodontics was satisfied with the results and plans to start a new project with Softhis for making a version of their application available on Mac OS and Windows.
In another project, a non-profit dental association collaborated with Softhis on several projects, starting with the creation of a symptoms checker that functions as both a web-based platform and a mobile application. Softhis developed the web-based application using HTML5 and built native iOS and Android applications. All three applications use the same database and web services. The initial project cost between $20,000 and $30,000 and took between two and three months to complete. The non-profit dental association has continued to work with Softhis on several other applications, including a major redesign for a dentist training app.
