Sigma IT Poland was hired by Heimgard Technologies, one of the largest smart home providers in the Nordics, to provide a team of engineers skilled in Golang and Google Cloud technologies. The team aimed to develop Heimgard's smart home management app and integrate an external partner solution with their Home Control platform. Sigma IT Poland, a part of the Swedish Nexer Group, was chosen due to their extensive experience with Scandinavian companies and their ability to provide a team with the required niche skills and seniority level. The team from Sigma included three C++ developers, embedded developers, an Android developer, and a Golang developer with Google Cloud expertise. The project's scope extended to developing an application for end-users, developing the cloud part responsible for data exchange between smart devices and the application, and rewriting legacy parts of the codebase from Python to C++. The company was very pleased with the results, leading to an extended partnership with Sigma IT Poland for further development needs.
