Sheetcast

Sheetcast was hired by Wipfli, a top 25 advisory firm, to modernize their Excel-based workflows which had become difficult to maintain across large teams. The goal was to create a secure, web-based platform for consultants and clients to collaborate without any issues related to broken formulas, misplaced versions, or data integrity. Sheetcast was chosen for this project due to their competitive pricing, value for cost, and company values. A team of 6-10 people worked on the project, which involved a broad scope of work. They started with a discovery phase, auditing the use of Excel files across Wipfli's practices, then mapped out which tools should be converted into web apps, which could be consolidated, and which needed rethinking entirely. Key deliverables included a centralized platform with role-based access, client-facing dashboards displaying key metrics, and interactive forecasting tools that mimicked the logic of Excel while adding automation and real-time data feeds. They also ensured the tax planning calculators could adapt to frequent regulation changes and created a secure audit trail feature. The project was successful, meeting Wipfli's objectives and providing a modern, polished toolset that elevated the client experience.
