SELK successfully completed a complex web design and development project for a nonprofit organization that required the preservation and accessibility of a vast, historical database. The Director of IT Special Projects at the nonprofit organization was tasked with finding a vendor capable of handling the intricacies of the organization's needs, which included capturing new demographics, increasing web traffic, and generating additional revenue. SELK was chosen due to their extensive experience with Drupal web development and their ability to manage complex system architecture.

Throughout the project, SELK worked closely with the client, beginning with a kickoff meeting and following through with an end-to-end project discovery, goal setting, expectation management, and project planning. The team from SELK, consisting of 11 members including a project manager, Drupal development team, full stack developers, a business analyst, QA analyst, CI/CD team, functional lead, DB team and a scrum master, used a range of technologies such as Drupal, custom servers, GitHub, MySql, PHP, HTML/CSS, Core APIs, and bespoke eCommerce technologies.

The key deliverables of the project included a system design, time tracking report, budget report, progress feedback, bug report, final design, optimized user journey, and the final live product. The project was completed successfully, with zero service disruptions, meeting strict timeframes and budgets. The client was extremely satisfied with the outcome, as the newly developed website not only maintained the integrity of their historical database but also capitalized on new business opportunities, integrated existing services with newer ones, captured new demographics, increased traffic, and brought in additional revenue.
