Highlights from Recent Projects
Ryland Technology was hired by a health and safety consultancy to develop a software design for their products. The consultancy provided Ryland with a draft of their requirements, to which Ryland responded by building out the front page and overall look and feel of the software, handling wireframes and sketches. The project was completed within two weeks, with the consultancy spending about $4,000. The consultancy was pleased with the results, and plans to engage Ryland Technology again in the future.
Ryland Technology was engaged by a global supplier of automated distribution systems to replace a legacy inventory tracking system. The new system was designed to work with RFID chips and would be used by all the supplier's customers. Ryland suggested a web application running on a SQL database, which proved to be adaptable and easy to install. The project was overseen by a main developer, with occasional assistance from other team members. The supplier was satisfied with the results and the continuity of having one person oversee the entire project.
Ryland Technology was contracted by a real estate firm to assist with financial modeling. They worked on the firm's financial modeling via Excel, producing scripts that could run behind the scenes and developing back-office running applications to help with data. Ryland Technology also resolved an issue that had made the firm's old spreadsheets dysfunctional due to Microsoft limitations. The firm was impressed with Ryland Technology's ability to perform backend work on Microsoft products, particularly Excel, and their partnership is ongoing.
