Ryland Technology was hired by a global supplier of automated distribution systems to replace a legacy inventory tracking system. The company aimed to transition from a barcode label system to an RFID chip system. Ryland Technology, led by Rob Raine, suggested a web application running on a SQL database. This solution proved to be adaptable and easy to install, requiring minimal investment from the client. The project was successful, and the client appreciated having one person oversee the entire project from start to finish.
In another project, a health and safety consultancy hired Ryland Technology for software design. The client provided a draft outline, and Ryland Technology built the front page and overall look and feel of the product. They handled wireframes and all sketches, and were able to complete all necessary changes within two weeks. The project was completed in February 2020, and the client expressed interest in engaging Ryland Technology again in the future.
Ryland Technology was also engaged by a real estate firm to assist with financial modeling. They worked on the firm's financial modeling via Excel, developing scripts and back-office running applications to help the data. The team was able to reformat the sheets, change the way calculations were done, and run macros to support the calculations. The successful partnership began in November 2018 and is ongoing. The client chose Ryland Technology for their unique ability to perform backend work on Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
