Highlights from Recent Projects
RUBICON was hired by an international industrial and consumer products company to assist in transitioning from their legacy platform to the Microsoft Azure cloud. The company was dissatisfied with certain aspects of the original platform and sought RUBICON's expertise for the migration process. RUBICON conducted online workshops to familiarize the client with the complexity of the new cloud platform. They were tasked with middleware and frontend development, including UX and UI. The project, which began in March 2020, has been successful and the contract has been extended to include more features.
RUBICON was contracted by a FinTech startup to develop the Android version of their highly rated iOS application. The application was to include various banking and lifestyle features. After researching several vendors, the client chose RUBICON due to their confidence, lean execution proposal, and clear and accurate estimates. The project was divided into two phases and the technologies used included Kotlin, Android SDK 23+, Android Jetpack, Dagger 2, Retrofit 2, and Clean Architecture among others. The project was successful and was delivered with a smaller team over a longer duration.
A major chemical manufacturer in Germany hired RUBICON to develop a new user interface for their internal data platform. The goal was to eliminate numerous silos within the enterprise and enable various analytics use cases to access all enterprise data. RUBICON was chosen for their agile mindset and end-to-end sense of responsibility. They participated in several workshops, resulting in an MVP definition after each workshop. The key deliverables included the platform API, an integrated user interface with email notifications, permission management, triggering of IaC deployments, push notifications, and a smaller data catalog solution. The project was successful and the team size was adjusted according to the decreasing number of features to be implemented.
