Roth Automation was hired by S&P Global, a financial market intelligence firm, to enhance the front end of their Accounts Payable system as they transitioned to Oracle on the cloud. The selection of Roth Automation was based on their proposal, the use of Kofax, and the cost of implementation. The project involved demonstrating the Kofax solution, which S&P had been using for the past decade for the imaging portion of the A/P process. A team of five from Roth Automation, including the CEO, worked on this project. The billing structure was based on completion of various stages of the project.
In another project, Roth Automation was contracted by a Global Defense Contractor to streamline their Accounts Payable process. The initial project scope was for data extraction (OCR), but it quickly evolved into a comprehensive AP automation solution upon realizing the capabilities of the platform. The platform included dynamic workflow capabilities, enabling the client to transition from their previous inflexible workflow tool. The goal was to streamline AP processing in their Shared Services environment, with deliverables including the integration of six of their largest business units onto the solution. The Roth Automation team consisted of a Project Manager and three developers.
