Reflections Info Systems

Reflections Info Systems was engaged by Khan Bank, Mongolia's largest retail bank, to address the complexity of their IT systems and reduce recovery time. In the wake of introducing an e-wallet system, the bank sought to establish a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, but faced challenges due to a lack of local expertise. Reflections Info Systems provided the necessary training, skill set, and knowledge for the SRE team, ensuring the reliability of the e-wallet system. The project involved on-site collaboration, with Reflections Info Systems' engineer working closely with the bank's team and sharing experiences from other projects. The bank has invested $25,000 in the engagement, which began in December 2023 and continues to date, with the SRE team still in operation.

The collaboration with Reflections Info Systems resulted in the successful establishment of an SRE team at Khan Bank, responsible for end-to-end management of the e-wallet system. The SRE team, composed of five members, was able to handle and recover the system swiftly in case of any issues. Reflections Info Systems also provided valuable recommendations for the bank's architecture and data department, leading to the implementation of ST1 for remote branches. This was particularly beneficial given the bank's extensive operational costs across its 500 branches, a significant number of which were located in small towns. The bank continues to utilize the SRE team built with Reflections Info Systems' support.
