Redtech

Redtech was hired by Microsoft to redesign their learning catalog which had over 400k active learning objects. The Director of Learning Technology at Microsoft, who was responsible for ensuring that their internal learning systems met global employee needs, selected Redtech based on their history of quality resources and competitive rates. Redtech's first step was to analyze the existing data set for completeness and explore large metadata gaps. They had to determine the cause of these gaps before deciding if the attribute should be transitioned to the new table. Other important factors included comparing missing data with learning object usage, geo origins, content age, data source, and search result accuracy. In the end, Redtech provided the insights needed to design the new catalog and created a catalog health dashboard that Microsoft's content governance teams could use to maintain health standards. The project involved one data analyst from Redtech's team.
