Real XR

Real XR successfully worked with a comprehensive software engineering solutions firm whose services span AR/VR/MR applications, mobile apps, and game development. The company turned to Real XR for additional Unity development resources for a furniture-based AR mobile app. The main objectives included enhancing development capacity, creating and refining the Unity-side AR experience and facilitating seamless integration with the Android app that the client managed.

Real XR's involvement focused primarily on the Unity and AR components of the AR-based furniture app. The team of 6-10 from Real XR delivered various features such as AR surface and plane detection, realistic furniture placement in the user’s space, object movement and scaling, 3D model integration, interaction logic, Unity-side UI development. Alongside ensuring smooth operations on supported Android devices, they also optimised 3D assets and application performance.

The partnership lasted from February to May 2026 and proved successful with Real XR not only integrating the Unity AR module into the main application but also resolving compatibility issues and testing complete user flow. They actively collaborated with the client's Android developers, tackled technical bugs, and provided recommendations to enhance the usability, placement accuracy, visual presentation, and overall AR performance.
