Reaktiv

Reaktiv was hired by a media company to develop its initial version of its CMS. The project began around 2012 and continued with the provision of staff augmentation services for one of the company's engineering teams from 2017. The company chose Reaktiv due to their experience with WordPress, which was the CMS the company needed. For almost five years, Reaktiv provided a full-time senior software engineer who wrote code in various applications, including a custom WordPress CMS, a node.js data layer application, and a React front-end. The engineer was fully integrated into the team, participating in team ceremonies and contributing to project scoping as well as coding.

Purdue University hired Reaktiv to build a content hub to share the Stories of Purdue after a failed launch with another development partner. The goal was to increase engagement and create an interface that drove increased content consumption. The university chose Reaktiv after conversations with three vendors, seeking a tier 1 WordPress vendor partner that understood their objectives. The university handled strategy and design in-house, with Reaktiv vetting their design and strategy, crafting technical specs, and leading all development and QA work in partnership with their in-house staff. The team from Reaktiv consisted of around five people, including biz dev, project manager, principal dev, senior devs, and QA testers.

Reaktiv was contracted by a large media company to manage their travel program's WordPress VIP website. The goal was to improve their online digital products, enhance their online customer experience, and solve challenging tracking issues tied to Google Ads and Google Analytics. Reaktiv was chosen after an RFP process and multiple interviews with development agencies, due to their understanding of the business and flexibility. Reaktiv managed the technical needs of the website, proactively communicating with the client, and providing solutions to challenges faced by the client. They also successfully solved a challenging cross-domain tracking issue that another agency had failed to resolve. The client invested $52,000 a year on a retainer contract, and the engagement started in August 2018 and is ongoing.
