R&D Solutions

R&D Solutions completed a project for an IT company that required a native Android solution for their retail client. The app needed to facilitate ordering in-stock items from multiple store locations and have a complex backend hosted on the cloud. R&D Solutions developed the app using HTML, AngularJS, ReactJS, MySQL, .NET, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The solution allows for initiation of orders, stock checking, order confirmation, payment transfers, and stock item dispatch to the final store location. The app also sends customers SMS payment reminders. The project began in August 2017 and is ongoing.

In a separate project, R&D Solutions worked with a mobile gaming studio to create server-side services for their game. They integrated six services including a chat feature with auto-translation linked using Microsoft, an authorization service, and storage. The AWS-based server structure uses .NET and Docker. The project was collaborative, with R&D Solutions working closely with the gaming studio's team. The project ran from September 2017 to May 2018.

R&D Solutions also worked with WorkWave, a company that provides field service management software. They needed help scaling up their development and focusing on technical operations and backend infrastructure. R&D Solutions developed a single sign-on process, redeveloped their customer portal from scratch, led their AWS transition and implementation, and created a data migration utility to move customer data from legacy products to a new platform hosted on the AWS environment. The project started in February 2016 and concluded in July 2018.
