Quick Analytics was hired by a visualization and automation firm to create an automated Gantt chart in Microsoft Visio that would dynamically update using task data maintained in Microsoft Excel. The goal was to have Excel act as the master project database, and Visio as the live visual project timeline. The system was designed to support adding new tasks in the future without breaking automation. The Visio Gantt chart was supposed to reflect task bars shifting based on start and finish dates, visual progress fill based on percentage complete, highlighting of critical tasks, clear task labels, and proper timeline scaling. Quick Analytics was chosen for this project due to their competitive pricing and value for cost.

The team from Quick Analytics, consisting of 2-5 employees, delivered a fully automated Visio Gantt chart template, a linked Excel master file, and a simple refresh/update process. The Gantt chart was professionally formatted, had dynamic task bar behavior, automated progress fill, critical path highlighting, and clean, executive-ready visual output. The Excel master file was structured, scalable, and had pre-configured automation compatibility. The refresh and update process was simplified to a one-click update mechanism, with clear instructions for future use and no technical knowledge required for updates.
