Proper Sky

Proper Sky provided managed IT and cybersecurity services for a nonprofit organization. The CFO and VP of finance of the organization decided to outsource their IT needs and chose Proper Sky for the task. The company conducted a thorough assessment of the nonprofit's IT infrastructure and suggested improvements based on their budget. Their responsibilities included managing the IT helpdesk, purchasing and installing hardware and software, maintaining and upgrading servers, managing security cameras and phone systems, providing cybersecurity training for employees, and implementing a ticketing system. The collaboration with Proper Sky lasted from June 2016 to January 2023 and the nonprofit's team praised the company's CEO, Jim, for his understanding of their needs and problem-solving abilities.

Proper Sky was hired by a medical dispensary, Trilogy Wellness of Maryland LLC, to build the server and infrastructure for their industry software, CannaPoint. The cannabis startup also required high surveillance camera security for their property and daily helpdesk support, all of which Proper Sky facilitated. The company was chosen for their high ratings, culture fit, value for cost, and aligned company values. The scope of work included building out the server infrastructure, which encompassed WAN/LAN, Firewall, Wireless Routing, Switches, Security and VLANs, and setting up the security surveillance prior to the grand opening. Proper Sky's helpdesk provided 24x7 ongoing support for any technical needs.

Families Forward Philadelphia, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families experiencing homelessness, engaged Proper Sky for cybersecurity and managed IT services. The primary goal was to modernize their infrastructure by eliminating on-premises file servers and transitioning to a secure, cloud-based solution. The scope of the project included setting up cloud print management, restructuring licensing to support Microsoft Intune policy configuration, migrating the Active Directory domain controller to Azure AD, transferring data from the on-premises file server to SharePoint, and fully decommissioning the legacy server. The nonprofit selected Proper Sky based on a referral and aligned company values.
