Profinit was hired by a private bank in Germany to set up a custom software development system. The bank, which traditionally used standardized software solutions, sought to develop customized software solutions for its back office operations. Profinit provided a team of developers who worked in a Java environment to deliver software solutions. The engagement began with a pilot project and has since expanded to multiple projects. The team size varies depending on the requirements but always includes a senior developer as the primary contact. The bank has invested between €800,000–€1 million in this ongoing collaboration which began in January 2018.

For Ceska sporitelna, the largest bank in the Czech Republic, Profinit delivered consulting, expert, and development services for an anti-fraud payment transaction system. The system, called OLIN (online monitoring), operates in real time and is based on big data technologies (Cloudera Hadoop). The project involved preparing data integration for the source of payment transactions, collecting relevant data in a Hadoop-based data mart, and building an analytical model to identify fraudulent or suspicious transactions. The Profinit team consisted of five full-time employees, including an architect and big data experts.

The largest Czech bank hired Profinit to build a unified repository for various audit logs to comply with banking regulations. The project involved unifying logs into a structured format, ensuring the storage of the original message, message hash, immutability, and anti-readability. The selection process was a six-month tender process with several suppliers, with the price being the deciding factor. The scope of work included a three-month analysis of requirements and data with architects, a two-month POC in a WMWare test environment, purchase of physical hardware, integration with 90 source systems and tests, migration of older logs from the original RDBMS solution, and commissioning and subsequent prophylaxis after six months of operation. The vendor's team consisted of four developers, three architects, and one external architect consultant from ORACLE.
