ProCogia

ProCogia was hired by a non-profit research organization to support the roll-out of RStudio and other data science pipelines on AWS, with a focus on containerization. The project involved setting up a corporate-wide EC2-based cluster of RStudio instances, defining architecture-reference for project-based work, containerization, and implementing cybersecurity hardening and monitoring processes. The company was chosen for its solid track record with RStudio, data science, and previous work with academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and agencies.

In another project, a media company engaged ProCogia to leverage their product data and improve customer communication through data insights and analytics. ProCogia developed custom software from scratch using Python, TensorFlow, and Spark, aimed at changing the search experience and improving the KPIs and metrics of the company's products. The team was composed of three data scientists and a data science manager, who were embedded into the client's product and data science teams.

ProCogia was also contracted by a biotechnology company to help administrate their SaaS environment and manage their R program in the analytical space. The scope of their involvement included R and data programs administration, publishing packages, and troubleshooting issues in collaboration with the client's internal team. The engagement lasted from December 2020 to December 2021, with ProCogia charging around $130 per hour and the total investment ranging between $1 million and $5 million.
