The Policy Bridge LLC was hired by a campaign fund manager web app company to assemble a dataset of campaign contributions for local Democratic Party affiliates. The data, spanning over two decades, was to be imported into a web application. The Policy Bridge developed a backend hosted on Heroku, with code written in React.js and used a PostGreSQL database management system. They created a database schema using an ETL process to extract data from county databases and load it onto the client's database. Frontend features included Facebook login support, Google Maps integration, and Tableau for data analysis. Subsequently, they also developed Android and iOS mobile apps built from React Native. The team was composed of developers, designers, and QA testers based in Poland, with Lukas, the founding partner, as the main point of contact. The client had a personal relationship with Lukas and had faith in his integrity and delivery capabilities. The project was successful, fulfilling the client's vision of a functioning web application capable of scaling its database nationally.
