Poliance Software Development was hired by an IT Solutions Firm to develop mobile applications for iOS and Android. The aim was to digitize the experience of using fitness clubs in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, allowing members to have remote access to training plans and book gym equipment while adhering to safety measures. Poliance was chosen for their ability to deliver the project on a fixed price/scope model and the quality of their staff. The company conducted initial design and business analysis workshops, prepared the architecture of the app, and moved on to coding. The project, which took almost four months to complete, was carried out by a team consisting of a designer, tech lead, mobile developers, and quality testers. The IT Solutions Firm served as the Product Owner, while Poliance provided a Project Manager/Scrum Master. The end result was a successful digital solution that enabled the fitness clubs to maintain engagement with their members despite the pandemic restrictions.
