PlanX Labs was commissioned by Mechanify Nexus, a company specializing in RO water plant services and government tenders, to develop an IoT-based system for the remote operation of a commercial water plant using a mobile application. PlanX Labs designed, developed, and integrated an application to existing RO plant PLC/control panels that enabled real-time monitoring, remote control, data logging, alarms, analytics, and reporting through Web and Mobile Platforms. The app allowed users to control various parameters including tank levels, pump start/stops, and valve operations. It also provided real-time updates, alarm notifications, and the storage of historical data for trend analysis.

PlanX Labs' solution allowed Mechanify Nexus to go beyond basic real-time monitoring and manual control of the water treatment process. The IoT solution provided features such as alarm notifications for a range of faults, including power failures and sensor failures, where authorized users could reset alarms or change operating schedules remotely. In addition, the application accrued data over a secure cloud-based storage system for a minimum of 12 months, which allowed for historical data retrieval, trend analysis, and graphical representation. Furthermore, a multi-level user access feature provided different roles and responsibilities, leading to effective team management.

PlanX Labs delivered a comprehensive system that facilitated not only efficient control but also meticulous monitoring of the plant operations. With a one-year warranty and dedicated technical support, the solution also included user manuals, training for operation and user management, and constant software updates. The result was a substantial increase in operational efficiency and a reduction in downtime, demonstrating the value added by the incorporation of PlanX Labs’ IoT solution.
