Pixel Jar

Pixel Jar was engaged by the Production Music Association, a nonprofit trade organization, for a complete website redesign. The website had been overcomplicated and required simplification and rebuilding. Pixel Jar was selected based on a referral from a partner organization, the Society of Composers and Lyricists. The project entailed a kick-off meeting, wireframe development, and full site development on WordPress, including a server switch. The team from Pixel Jar included a project manager, a designer, and a web build lead. The project manager was praised for his effective communication and assistance in understanding the next steps.

In another project, Pixel Jar was hired by a Pilates streaming subscription website for a complete website refresh. The initial website was not built responsively and had several plugins. Pixel Jar conducted an audit of the site, analyzed the user experience, and provided a fresh perspective on the user journey and design. The team switched the site to Beaver Builder page builder and updated all the plugins. The project, which cost $40,000, started in April 2020 and was launched in November 2020. The Pixel Jar team included a main point of contact, two designers, and a testing specialist.

Pixel Jar was also contracted by WhatIsMyIPAddress.com to help migrate to a new site layout and a new backend that allows the whole team to edit content. The project involved migrating the website to a new layout that was provided by a different entity. Pixel Jar templated that layout on WordPress, focusing on maintaining site performance, keeping data usage low, and caching high. The project, which cost between $10,000 and $50,000, was complex and involved working on multiple backends. It ran from June 2019 to January 2021, with Pixel Jar continuing to provide maintenance services. The team from Pixel Jar included a project manager and co-founder.
