The goal was to create a user-friendly tool that would allow people to complete forms and submit information necessary for doing business with the company. Persistent Systems began the project by using Appian as a low-code tool to create workflows. Over time, they became the lead on the project, providing expertise in Appian, web service development, and database work. The team, which ranged from 10 to 20 people, continued to work with the insurance company on Java web service, which facilitated data transfer between their database and web page. The partnership has been ongoing since February 2016, with the insurance company investing at least $2.5 million over the years in various scopes of work.
